Paycation Travel Review– What Is It?

If you join Paycation Travel, you become a “Travel Agent” and make money by selling vacation packages and also by recruiting other to enter the Paycation Program to become “Travel Agents.”

The people running the Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Company are CEO David Manning and the President Mark Campese, who both have many years already working in direct sales. Paycation launched early 2014, and they have partnered up with another company called Xstream travel from Dallas, which has been an active company for the last 12 years, which is always a positive sign. Paycation and Xstream combined provide training for Paycation members to become a Referring Travel Consultant (RTC) or a Certified Travel Consultant (CTC).

The Pros and Con’s of Paycation Travel

The Good:

  • Easy to get started.
  • You can work it around your vacations and others too.
  • Training provided to get you started recruiting others into the program.
  • Good compensation plan.

The Bad:

  • To recruit well, you will need a lot of experience building a downline regarding MLM.
  • The amount of work required to get even one person to join up is not stressed in the program. They make it sound easier than it is for most individuals.
  • Even though you call yourself a travel agent, your are not an official travel agent according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics so if you do get started in this MLM program be careful how you market yourself.
  • To save a few dollars you are limited to destinations and packages they’ve already chosen.

Who is Paycation Travel For?

  1. It is for anyone who goes on regular travel and wants to save some money through the Paycation program but honestly in that regard I know from experience that when booking a holiday there are so many hidden fees to go through that more often than not you don’t save that much.
  2. It is also for people who want to earn an extra income part/full-time by recruiting other people into the program, thus building a downline and building an income through commissions earned from that downline.

Paycation Travel’s Tools & Training

This is where it gets a bit awkward in my opinion. You join Paycation Travel the hook is that you’ll be trained in as one of their “Travel Agents” but once you’re in all of the focus is on getting new starters to upgrade to the Referring Travel Consultant (RTC) or a Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) packages.

At this point, someone who was joining to either help others save money on their holidays or someone else’s has now gone from a “Travel Agent” for Paycation Travel to a recruiting agent for Paycation Travel which kind of misses the point as to why some people joined in the first. With all that being said, though, people still have the choice what they want to do when they join, they’re not forced into upgrading.

Paycation Travel Support

You can find Paycation’s support desk on their website in the contact section or at this link here –

Their support desk is open Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-4pm. Their phone support is open until 10 am.

Paycation Travel’s Price

There are three different kinds of Paycation Travel memberships:

  1. Travel Club Member: This is the most basic membership with an annual fee of $40 and then $29.95 per month just to be able to earn commissions.Paycation Travel Review
  1. Referral Travel Consultant: This membership level costs $99.95 and then $59.95 each month with the $40 annual fee. This level allows you to earn coded and leadership commissions.
  1. Certified Travel Consultant: This is the highest level, and it costs $149, the $40 annual fee, and then the monthly fee of $59.95 that allows you to earn 75% on all commissions earned on all travel bookings through your portal.

My Final Opinion of Paycation Travel

I think it would be a great compensation plan for people if it weren’t for the monthly fees. The amount of work involved isn’t emphasized, and then you have to do a lot of work and recruiting just to break even at each of the different levels.

Similar most MLM programs you need to either have a lot of experience in the industry already when it comes to things like building a decent downline and then showing your downline how they can do the same.

The other aspect of the program where you get people to book holidays through you.I feel that if you are interested in travel, then You would be better off building a website of your own on travel. Become a certified and recognized Travel Agent for real and then you can either refer people to great destination through your site, or you can use your site as a way to get qualified leads for your business instead of working as a recruiter for someone else’s MLM business.
